Ariane (she/her/they) is a tattoo artist based of “Vancouver”, BC. She has been tattooing for ~ 8 years.
It all started with simple handpokes on friends, evolving into more intricate pieces and composition once she transitioned to machine.
Long term art history fan, her style constantly evolves based on different art movements. She is currently exploring color within fauvism, impressionism & cubism. She is also inspired by older woodblock illustrations.
While focusing on tattooing, she is also developping a painting practice that leans into the abstract world. This helps balance her creativity while tattooing. Alongside painting on canvas, she is using wood as a support for freedom of shapes.
Her work has been described as whimsical, flowy, magical & fun.
She likes light, movement and weird blurry selfies that make her feels like an “artist”
Strawberries are her favorite thing, in form of real berry, drawing, trinket, hat, etc.
